At the meeting, Mr.Zhao introduced the school's general situation, discipline construction and international exchanges. He emphasized that the school attaches great importance to international exchanges and cooperation and has a certain foundation for cooperation and exchanges. The school has set up two independent institutions, the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, and the International Exchange College, and has established close exchanges and cooperation relationships with more than 20 well-known universities and colleges abroad. Currently, it has cooperated with three universities in Germany and Australia to carry out postgraduate cooperation of training project.

At the moment, the school is in a leap-forward development stage. It is at the time of preparations for the establishment of Guangzhou Transportation University. In the school’s 14th Five-Year Plan, expanding international exchanges and cooperation is an important part of the preparation for the establishment of Guangzhou Transportation University. Cooperations could be established in the following fields: Scientific research cooperation projects, Co-construction projects of laboratories, overseas high-level talent introduction projects, teacher training projects, undergraduate and master joint training projects for students, short-term and long-term exchange visits between teachers and students, and other schools. At present, the school is working hard to find high-level colleges and universities in the field of sea, land, air and rail transportation from abroad to cooperate in the establishment of Sino-foreign cooperative education institutions and international colleges.

Afterwards, Director Zhu briefly introduced the Sino-foreign cooperative education projects that the school is vigorously promoting, and gave a more detailed introduction to the joint postgraduate training projects that have been carried out. Besides,  the school has cooperated with the University of Technology Sydney, Australia and Curtin University to set up a "3+2" master's degree joint training program for two majors in computer science and technology, and finance. Starting in 2020, students will be enrolled separately from the college entrance examination enrollment plan. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, the Chinese-foreign joint training enrollment has been affected to a certain extent. There are currently more than 30 international students. The school has issued a series of regulations on the management of international cooperation in running schools, and stated that although international exchange projects have been affected by the virus in the past year, the prospects for cooperation are still very promising in the long run.

Deputy Director Fu Xixi introduced the functions and business conditions of the China Israel Exchange Center and China-Israel Jizhi (Guangzhou) Technology Co., Ltd., and hoped to be able to introduce core professional technical talents and courses in future teacher training, introduction of high-level talents, and courses. We can carry out extensive and in-depth cooperation with the school in terms of laboratory construction, technological innovation, achievement transformation, laboratory construction, joint credit recognition and joint master's training, and Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools. Fu also said that the Israel-China-Israel Exchange Center in Guangzhou will provide basic information about Israeli universities to the school. It is hoped that the school will provide specific cooperation requirements so as to promote the implementation of cooperation between the two parties as soon as possible.

At last, Deputy Secretary Zhao concluded the speech. He said that the school will maintain a positive attitude towards opening up schools and fully promote international exchanges and cooperation. It is hoped that the two sides can maintain close and good interactions. The school will launch a survey on the needs of international cooperation projects within the school as soon as possible.
